Somebody had an eventful week!
Daisy is the family dog. We’ve had her since 2002 and our family just wouldn’t be complete without her. Lately, she’s been acting her age a bit more and since summer is nearly here we wanted to get her all healthy and clean in time for the season.
I took her to the vet on Saturday to get her shots. The last time she had shots…well, let’s just say I was just learning how to drive. So, yeah, it’s been…awhile.
(Hashtag worst owners ever?)
Below is a picture of us (well, her) waiting to go back for the shots.
The first thing they did, however, was take some blood to test for heartworms, etc.
Look at that bandage. Is that not the cutest thing ever?
She was such a brave girl. She got three shots (two in the rump and one in the neck) back to back…to back, I guess. I don’t think I’ve ever had that many shots in a row (and if I have, I probably cried like a baby).
Yesterday, Michelle and I took her to PETCO to be washed and groomed (it’s summer, so she needed a nice good brush-out).
Here is the before picture:
And here is the after picture:
I don’t really see a difference. Do you? At least she felt and smelled clean.
It’s possibleĀ that after this she will be VERY hesitant to get in the car. Or not. Because she’s a dumb dog who likes going on drives.
